Terms of Use
Version: November 3, 2026
These are the rules for using Path Ranker (pathranker.com and dash.pathranker.com). How we handle your data is in the Privacy Policy.
1Who we are
Path Ranker is a product of Alcateia Digital. Responsible party: Alcateia Digital Ltda (CNPJ 69.903.358/0001-20). Contact: dpo@pathranker.com and WhatsApp +55 21 96862-7847.
2The service
Path Ranker reads the public pages of a website and delivers a technical and content diagnosis (SEO, visibility in search engines and AI assistants, speed, accessibility, security and more), with history, alerts and reports. The diagnosis is a reading of what the site shows at the moment of the analysis: it points out problems and opportunities, but it does not guarantee search rankings, citations in AI assistants, traffic or sales.
3Account, team and access
You create an account with an e-mail and password or with Google sign-in and you are responsible for what happens in it. Domains and analyses belong to the company (the account), and whoever administers it can invite other people as admins or members. Keep your password safe and tell us if you think someone got into your account. You state that you are 18 or older.
4Plans, billing and cancellation
- Plans: Starter, Pro / Agency and Enterprise, with the limits and prices on the plans page at the time you subscribe (domains, pages per domain, users, frequency of analyses and features). There is also a one-time standalone diagnosis, with its own rules (see the Standalone diagnosis section below).
- Billing: monthly or yearly, in US dollars or, in Brazil, in Brazilian reais, through Stripe, renewing automatically at the plan price until you cancel. Your card number stays with Stripe.
- Cancellation: you can cancel or pause at any time in the billing portal; the plan lasts until the end of the period already paid and then the account becomes read-only.
- Failed payment: the account keeps working for 3 days and then becomes read-only until payment.
- Right of withdrawal (plans): for subscriptions bought online by consumers, a full refund is given if requested within 7 days of payment confirmation (art. 49 of the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code). The standalone diagnosis has its own rule, below.
- Plan limits: anything beyond the plan (for example more domains than it allows) is blocked until you change plans.
5Standalone diagnosis
The standalone diagnosis is the one-time purchase of a full analysis of one site, with no subscription. Payment gives the account one credit, and each analysis started with it uses one credit.
- When the credit is used: at the moment an analysis is started with it. If the analysis fails, or you cancel it before it runs, the system returns the credit to the account. A completed analysis uses the credit, even if you delete the report afterwards.
- Refund: the standalone diagnosis is refundable only if the credit has not been used. Once it is used, the service has been delivered at your request and there is no refund, including within the withdrawal period that applies to plans.
- How we check use: through the system event log (see the Event log section below), which keeps the date and time of the payment, of each use of the credit and of each return, with the analysis each refers to. We use this log to decide a refund request or to answer a payment dispute, and we can show it to you on request.
- How to ask: write to dpo@pathranker.com with the e-mail of the account. A refund, when made, is for the full amount and through the same payment method, and the unused credit is removed from the account. Partial refunds are a courtesy and do not change the credit.
6Event log
The system keeps an event log for the account: date and time, the account and the person involved, the type of event and minimal technical data (for example the domain and the number of the analysis, and payment amounts and status reported by Stripe). Events include: creating and closing the account, team changes, starting, finishing, failing or canceling analyses, purchases, refunds and plan changes. The log does not keep passwords, keys, the content of the analyzed pages or card numbers.
It is used for the security of the account, for support and to prove facts when needed, in particular the use of the standalone diagnosis and the status of charges. We keep it for 24 months; events tied to payments are kept for 5 years, including after the account is closed (without identifying the person), to meet legal obligations and to allow a defense in refunds or disputes. You can ask for a copy of your account's events (Privacy Policy, section 8).
7Acceptable use
- Analyze sites that are yours or that you are authorized to analyze (for example, an agency’s client sites). Analyses read only public pages.
- Add the login of a staging site only if you are authorized to access it.
- Do not use the service to overload other people’s sites, get around plan limits, resell access (except what the Enterprise plan allows, with your brand on reports) or for illegal purposes.
- Do not try to access data of other accounts.
- Do not share reports with people you have no right to show the site’s information to.
8Keys and third-party services
Some measurements use third-party services with your account: the AI keys (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Perplexity) you add and the connection to your Google (Search Console and Analytics), which you authorize and can revoke at any time. The costs and terms of those services are between you and them. Google data follows section 3 of the Privacy Policy.
9Personal data processed on the company’s behalf
For the personal data your company entrusts to us (the pages and results of the analyses, the collector’s visitor measurements and the people invited), the company is the controller and Path Ranker is the processor (LGPD, art. 5, VII; GDPR, art. 28). This section is the data processing agreement between the parties and applies as long as the service is used. For a signed version, write to dpo@pathranker.com.
- Instructions: we process this data only to provide the service, under these Terms and what the company sets up in the dashboard. If an instruction would break the law, we say so.
- Subject matter and duration: reading public pages, computing the measurements, keeping the history and delivering reports and alerts, while the account exists. Types of data: those of section 2 of the Privacy Policy. Data subjects: the team, the guests and the visitors of the company’s sites.
- Confidentiality: the people on our team who access the data are bound by secrecy and access it only when necessary, for example in support the company asked for.
- Security: the measures of section 9 of the Privacy Policy (encrypted keys and passwords, separation between accounts, HTTPS).
- Sub-processors: the company authorizes the providers in section 5 of the Privacy Policy. Relevant changes to the list are announced by e-mail and the company may object, by closing the account, before the change takes effect.
- Data subjects’ rights: we help the company answer requests for access, correction, deletion and the rest, with the dashboard’s tools and by e-mail. A request a data subject makes to us about this data is passed on to the company.
- Incidents: we notify the company without undue delay on learning of an incident that affects this data, with the information it needs to meet the legal deadlines.
- End of the contract: when the account is closed, the company can download the reports; afterwards we delete the data (Privacy Policy, section 7), except what the law requires us to keep.
- Audit: we provide the information needed to show compliance with this section and cooperate with reasonable audits, with prior notice.
- International transfers: as in section 6 of the Privacy Policy.
10Reports and sharing
The reports are yours: you can download them (PDF, Markdown, JSON, CSV) and, on the plans that allow it, share them by link with a PIN and an expiry. Whoever shares is responsible for who receives. The sample reports on the site are illustrative.
11Limits of the service
Measurements depend on pages, servers and third-party services (search engines, AI assistants, Google APIs) that may change, err or go down. AI assistant answers may be wrong. We do our best to keep the service up, but we do not guarantee continuous availability or specific results.
12Liability
Alcateia Digital is not liable for indirect losses, lost profits or decisions made based on the diagnosis. Alcateia Digital’s liability is limited to the amount paid in the 12 months before the event, except where the law does not allow it.
13Trademarks and content
Path Ranker and Alcateia Digital are trademarks of Alcateia Digital, as are the code, texts and look of the service. The data of your sites and the results of your analyses remain yours; you authorize us to process them to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy. Google, OpenAI, Anthropic, Perplexity, Stripe and the other brands named belong to their owners, with no tie or partnership with them.
14Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks these Terms, with notice by e-mail when possible. You can close your account at any time and ask for your data to be deleted (Privacy Policy, section 8). Before closing, download whatever you want to keep.
15Changes and jurisdiction
We may update these Terms. Changes that affect people who already have an account apply to them only after notice by e-mail, in advance, and they may cancel before. Brazilian law applies. Venue: the courts of Niterói, RJ, Brazil, except the consumer’s home courts where the law so requires.
