Structured data (JSON-LD) generator
The structured data generator is a free Path Ranker tool that builds JSON-LD in your browser: nothing you type is sent to anyone. Pick the type, fill in the fields and copy the code, which follows schema.org.
Paste it inside the <head> or at the end of the <body> of the page. On WordPress or Shopify, use the header code field of the theme or of the SEO plugin.
After publishing, check it in the Google Rich Results Test · schema.org validator.
How to use it
Pick the type and fill in
Required fields are marked. The code updates as you type, and what Google recommends but is still missing shows as a notice.
Copy and paste into the page
The code goes inside a script tag of type application/ld+json, in the head or at the end of the body. Characters that could close the tag early are escaped.
Check before publishing
Paste the address or the code into Google's Rich Results Test and the schema.org validator. Markup only counts if it describes what the page really shows.
What this generator does not do
- It does not invent reviews or ratings: schema.org lets you mark up reviews, but only real reviews that are visible on the page are valid.
- It builds one item at a time. For a page with more than one type, generate each and paste the blocks one after another.
- Marking up does not guarantee a rich result: Google decides whether to show one.
Want this filled in with your site's data?
In the full diagnostic, Path Ranker reads your site's pages and hands you the missing JSON-LD already filled in, on the paid plans.

- A block of code, usually JSON-LD, that describes the page to machines: who the company is, where it is, which questions the page answers, how much the product costs. Search engines and AI assistants read it without having to guess from the text.
- Inside the head or at the end of the body of the page it describes. On WordPress, use the header code field of the SEO plugin or the theme. On Shopify, the theme.liquid file. Organization markup usually goes on the home page only.
- Since August 2023, only for well-known government and health sites. The markup is still valid schema.org and describes the content to other automated readers, but do not expect the question dropdowns in search.
- No. The code is built on the page itself, on your device, and nothing is sent to our server.
- Use Google's Rich Results Test and the schema.org validator. The generator only uses types and properties from the schema.org vocabulary and tells you which required fields are missing.
